eHEnergizer differs from the traditional igniters through the application of High Energy Ignition (HEI) as opposed to High Voltage Ignition (HVI). HEI offers far greater reliability than HVI and will work under almost any circumstance. The energy discharged during a sparking event make HEI immune to dirt, water and the myriad of other contaminants common in the industrial fired appliances.
eHEnergizer models are available in either 24V(dc) or 120V(ac) and operate with RMS currents of less than 1A. Always on from the moment power is applied the units can be driven direct from the BMS PLC with no requirement for an interposing relay. With just two wires for electrical hook-up in the field there is no need for junction boxes, relays or enclosures.
Our proprietary Champion HEI Spark Tip is recommended for use with the eHEnergizers. Customized specifically for use in natural gas pilot burners the tip uses the same technology commonly found gas turbine engines and the aviation industry. With a lifetime of up to 1million sparks the tips are a perfect complement to the eHEnergizer.
